# Creating a New Project in DataUnfold<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This short guide explains how to create a new project (also shown as **New Project**<\/strong> or **Create New Project**<\/strong> in the app) and get started quickly. It’s written for end users and focuses on the common flows: creating from a template and starting from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

## Before you begin \u2705<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– You need an active DataUnfold account with permission to create projects. If the “New Project” button is disabled or missing, contact your administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Decide whether you want to start from a template (recommended for repeatable workflows) or from scratch for a custom setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

## Where to start \ud83d\udd0e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

– From the **Home**<\/strong> screen click **Start New Project**<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
