What to Do if an Ingestion Fails

1. Check the file #

  • Make sure the file is not corrupted.
  • Verify the format: PDF, DOCX, Excel, etc.
  • If the file is password protected, remove the password before uploading.

2. Check the connection and service #

  • Make sure your internet connection is working.
  • If DataUnfold uses an ingestion service, verify it is running.
  • Reload the page or restart the app if needed.

3. Check permissions #

  • You must have the right to add files to the project.
  • If you do not have permission, ask an administrator.

4. Check tags and configuration #

  • Some projects require specific tags for proper processing.
  • If the project uses a template, check that the project settings are correct.

5. If the problem continues #

  • Write down the error message shown on screen.
  • Ask your administrator or support for help.
  • Provide the file name, the file type, and the time of the error.
