What are the choices? #
When you create a project, you usually pick one of these modes:
- Manual creation — build the project step by step yourself.
- Template creation — start from a ready-made project setup.
- AI-assisted creation — let the system suggest or build the project automatically.
Note: This guide describes the most common options. Your version of DataUnfold may show slightly different labels or available buttons.
1. Manual creation — start from scratch #
This is the most flexible choice.
- You create a new project with your own title and description.
- You choose tags, settings, and files later.
- You do not use a preset structure.
Best for: unique work, custom projects, or new workflows.
2. Template creation — use a ready-made setup #
This is the fastest way if your work follows a familiar pattern.
- You pick a template from a list.
- The template already sets up common options, tags, and actions.
- The project is created with default settings ready to use.
Best for: repeatable work, standard reports, or consistent project types.
3. AI-assisted creation — let the app help #
This option uses AI to suggest or build the project for you.
- The app may suggest the best tags, settings, or project flow.
- The system can help choose a starting point when you are unsure.
- Some AI flows create the project from a short description or example.
Best for: new users, uncertain setup, or guided project creation.
How to choose #
- Choose manual when you want full control and custom setup.
- Choose template when you want a quick start and repeatable structure.
- Choose AI-assisted when you want the app to suggest the setup and do more of the work.
