# Using and Saving Templates
Templates let you bootstrap new projects with pre-configured settings, tags, and actions.
## Use a template
1. Click **Start New Project** → **Use Template** or **Browse Templates**.
2. Select a template and click **Use Template**.
3. Enter a project title and optional description, then click **Create Project**.
## Save a project as a template
1. Open the project you want to reuse as a template.
2. From the project settings, choose **Save as Template**.
3. Provide a template name and description, then save.
4. Templates created by users may be available to other team members depending on your organization’s settings.
## Troubleshooting templates
– If templates don’t appear, refresh the templates dialog or check permissions with your admin.
## Best practices
– Create templates for repeatable workflows (e.g., litigation, research, due diligence).
– Include default smart tags and a short description to guide teammates.
